Transparent Container acquires Richardson & Edwards

Strengthening its position in the consumer products packaging industry and complimenting its current offering of plastic packaging solutions, Transparent Container Co., Inc. has acquired Richardson & Edwards, Inc., printer of paperboard folding cartons and other retail packaging solutions.

“The acquisition builds on TCCʼs commitment to servicing its customers and providing complete retail ready packaging solutions at a single manufacturing source,” said Scott Greiwe, President. “The location, culture and manufacturing capabilities at R&E align with TCCʼs strategy for growth and will help meet the demands of our customers. Having the ability to design and manufacture a paper or plastic solution provides our customers with the widest selection of options for sustainability, performance, impact and supply chain efficiency.”

Established in 1947, R&E employs approximately 40 people and adds to TCC several new product technologies, a talented workforce and a paperboard manufacturing presence in Addison, IL.
