PolyOne Hires Vice President, Marketing Julie McAlindon; Promotes Vice President, Key Account Management Kurt Schuering

Julie A. McAlindon has joined PolyOne as vice president, marketing after a 20 year career with The Dow Chemical Company. During that time she held commercial assignments of increasing responsibility focused on strategic marketing and business leadership. In these roles, she gained extensive knowledge and global experience in operations, finance, product management and strategic marketing. Most recently, she served as a key commercial leader with Dow Advanced Materials and previously was strategic marketing director for the Coating Solutions business. McAlindon earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Western Ontario, Canada. She is relocating to Cleveland from Philadelphia.

Kurt C. Schuering, vice president, key account management, was promoted to corporate officer. Since joining PolyOne in 2007, he has been instrumental in leveraging the company’s global reach and diverse portfolio of specialty color, engineered materials and performance solutions for the world’s largest manufacturers and makers of consumer products. Prior to joining PolyOne, Schuering was employed by GE Plastics, serving as global account manager, industry director, commercial quality leader and global OEM director for automotive. He also held numerous market development, international sales and business manager roles with Eastman Chemical Company and Ferro Corporation. Upon graduating from the University of Kentucky with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Schuering was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Army.
