Matrix Morpheus XL for even wider bags

For frozen, fresh-cut, and IQF packaging, a single new Morpheus XL vertical form/fill/seal machine from Matrix has extra wide jaws that can do the work of two older and less capable f/f/s machines.

Morpheus, Matrix’s next-generation solution for high-speed f/f/s, is widening its jaws to allow for even wider bags. The new Morpheus XL produces pillow bags from two inches wide all the way up to 15 inches. That’s three inches wider than the original model. The Morpheus XL can run at speeds exceeding 120 bags/min and is designed to run in intermittent mode as well as continuous. For the first time, a Morpheus f/f/s machine can also produce gusseted bags, too. Also debuting at PACK EXPO Las Vegas was a redesigned stainless-steel drip pan, which makes it faster and easier to change forming tubes. The new drip pan also keeps the interior of the machine cleaner.
