(Delaware, OH) has signed a definitive agreement to purchase the Van Leer industrial packaging div. from Huhtamaki Van Leer Oyj (Espoo, Finland.) Cebal (Paris, France), a subsidiary of Pechiney, has acquired Metal-pack (Mogi Das Cruzes, Brazil). Krupp Kautex Maschinenbau (Essen, Germany) and Fischer-W. Müller Blasformtechnik (Essen, Germany) will be transformed into the joint co., SIG Blowtec GmbH & Co. KG. Belvac Production Machinery, Inc. (Lynchburg, VA) has gained the exclusive rights to market, service and distribute Arol S.p.A products for the North American market. Lasertechnics (Albuquerque, NM) has signed an exclusive North and Central America distribution agreement with Alltec GmbH (Lübeck, Germany). Sonoco (Hartsville, SC) has purchased the composite can operations of Amcor Packaging (Sydney, Austrailia). Garvens Automation GmbH (Giesen, Germany) has created a U.S. subsidiary, American Garvens Corp. (Pine Brook, NJ).
