Tropicana Pure Premium and Trop50 products will carry an on-pack code
through 2009 that can save 100 square feet of rainforest every time a
consumer enters the code online. Tropicana has partnered with Cool
Earth for the "Rescue the Rainforest" campaign. Cool Earth is an
international trust dedicated to protecting the rainforest. Tropicana,
a division of PepsiCo, is the first US company to get behind the
initiative. Tropicana is already responsible for protecting 5,000 acres
of endangered rainforest. Consumers can enter a code online every time
they consume a Tropicana product, and can watch the rainforest being
saved through technology provided by Google Maps.
