NACD invests in future, rewards past

At its annual meeting in late April, the National Assn. of Container Distributors (Philadelphia, PA) honored past contributions and invested in the future in the form of three scholarships to students studying packaging.

Jennifer Gruber of Michigan State, Scot Hagenburger of Cal Poly and L. Ndungu Rebo of Rutgers each received $1ꯠ academic scholarships from NACD to further their packaging studies.

In honoring past achievements and contributions, Mel Rabinovitz, president of Chelsea Bottle (Chelsea, MA), received the 1998 NACD Achievement Award. Meanwhile, AFA Corp. (Forest City, NC) won honors as Supplier of the Year for its strong support of distributors through training and business policies.
