U.S. Dept. of Agriculture (USDA) announced the recall of some Ball Park Fat Free Franks and Eckrich Fat Free Bologna products. Both contained a milk protein not listed on the label.

Milk protein can cause serious allergic reactions in some people. Hygrade Food Products of Detroit voluntarily recalled all 14-ounce packages of Ball Park Fat Free Franks, Smoke Flavoring Added. Eckrich Foods Co., Downers Grove, IL, recalled all 12-ounce packages of Eckrich Fat Free Bologna, Made with Turkey, Pork, and Beef. Both product recalls were initiated after consumer complaints.
