Pack Expo eye-openers scheduled

Attendees at Pack Expo 96 can pick up unique insights on future packaging challenges by attending three Eye-Opener Breakfast Sessions. All three sessions will run from 7:30 to 9:00 a.m.

Admission is free, but space is limited, and participants will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis. "Today's packaging challenges" will be the first session, held Monday, Nov. 18. Presented in conjunction with the Grocery Manufacturers of America, it will feature Nick Rosa, president of Benevia, a Monsanto Co. unit whose brands include Equal®, and Nutrasweet®. The session on Tuesday, Nov. 19, is titled "Nine operational strategies to improve your packaging line." PMMI Industry Relations Committee Chairman Larry Smith, Bemis Packaging Machinery Co., will present the results of a special survey of PMMI members. Finally, on Wednesday, Nov. 20, Timothy Burns of Cranial Capital will present "A candid look at the packaging industry in the year 2000." For more information, phone 703/243-8555.
