A March 16th FDA MedWatch article noted the recall of Alka-Seltzer Plus products due to an issue with the labeling. Bayer initiated the voluntary recall when it was found that the ingredients listed on the front sticker of the carton might be different from the ingredients listed on the back. The error could lead consumers to unintentionally ingest a product that they may have an allergy to, leading to an anaphylactic reaction.

The affected product was sold in the U.S. at stores including Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, and Kroger after February 9th, 2018. The Bayer logo located on the lower left corner of the carton’s front is the indicator of recalled product. If the logo has an orange or green background, it’s included in the recall.
