Campbell Soup to flip its lids

In late July, Camden, NJ-based Campbell Soup Co.’s board of directors announced that it approved a series of investment initiatives to revitalize its brands.

That will include packaging innovation. For soups, Campbell plans to phase in easy-open lids across its entire condensed soup line, add a new “Pop ‘N Pour” lid for its Swanson-brand broths, and test a new line of sipping soups for consumption outside the home. “Soup is our middle name,” said Douglas R. Conant, the company’s president and CEO. “We know more about soup products, packaging, and manufacturing processes than anyone else.” For more information, visit www.campbellsoup.com.
