Carried out in-house, the packaging redesign is part of the company’s overall effort to broaden product appeal to a wider audience of health-conscious consumers. “While the brand following has remained strong for nearly 40 years, we realized we needed to update our packaging design and add new flavors in order to regain our top-of-class position,” says Duke Field, vp of sales and marketing for MLO/GeniSoy. “The new packaging more accurately reflects the progressive nature of MLO, and will make our products more appealing to a wider variety of audiences as well.” Consumers will see the new, brightly colored contemporary packaging designs and an updated company logo on MLO Products (including wrapped protein bars and protein powders in canisters) in the United States and Canada in June. The MLO Products line is available nationally in health food outlets including Rite Aid, Kroger, and GNC stores.
