Seal integrity for meat

The newly developed, proprietary Q® series film technology from Alcan seals easily through marinade particulates, grease, salt, and acidic environments, allowing processors to address demands for convenient meal solutions in attractive, case-ready formats.

The primary seal sets quickly at lower temperatures to prevent uncooked cuts of marinated meat from searing during the packaging process, and the secondary seal allows processors to achieve good film-to-film seal at fast speeds. The film is said to outperform competitive coextrusions, with machinability that reduces leakers, good memory for diminished purge, and high clarity for increased shelf appeal.
