Barrier pharmaceutical film

The Pentapharm® alfoil® PVdC-coated polymer film product line from Klöckner Pentaplast has been

Pw 8100 M Klockner
extended to include Pentapharm® alfoil® S03 films for pharmaceutical and nutraceutical products requiring ultra-high moisture and oxygen barrier performance in a transparent film. Available in 3-layer (PVC/PVdC/PVC) structures, these films have good thermoforming properties and mechanical stabilities. Films also offer good clarity for transparent blisters, and the high-crystallinity PVdC dispersion allows for higher barrier levels at competitive costs. The symmetrical films thermoform in the same temperature range as PVC mono film, and the PVC skins offer a low coefficient-of-friction, preventing blocking on preheat plates and offering more consistent material flow during thermoforming. Films are sealable to all standard vinyl-compatible lidstocks and available in transparent clear and opaque colors.
