Fpa Releases Report, Announces Fall Conference

Flexible Packaging Association’s (www.flexpack.org) 2006 State of the Industry Report focuses on the “value-added” segment of the estimated $21.8 billion flexible packaging business.

That segment, “which adds significant value to flexible materials usually by performing multiple processes,” says FPA, is estimated at $17 billion. For more information, call Lauren Johnson, communications manager, at 410/694-0800, or e-mail her at [email protected].

Meanwhile, FPA’s 2006 Fall Executive Conference will be held Oct. 4 at The Drake Hotel in Chicago. “The Impact of Globalization on the U.S. Flexible Packaging Industry” will serve as the focus of the conference. The program includes Neil Rogers of Procter & Gamble, Amit Sheth of Environmental Packaging Intl., and John Caslione, author of Global Manifest Destiny. Contact the FPA at 410/694-0800 for more details, or register online at www.flexpack.org.
