Polymer Solutions International's ProStack® Solid Deck Pallet has been added to the ProStack Double Leg Ratchet family of hygienic, easy-to-clean and easy-to-inspect pallets. Manufactured by Polymer Solutions International Inc., the solid top produces unilateral support across the full plane of the pallet’s surface, so that all products are completely supported through transport and storage.
Like the ProStack Double Leg Ratchet Pallet, the ProStack Solid Deck Pallet features a telescoping double leg design—patented by the United States Patent and Trademark Office—that incorporates a series of interlocking “teeth.” This ratchet-style construction secures the top deck to the base via the interlocking legs to yield a connection three times stronger than welded or snap pallet construction designs. The double leg construction forms nearly half an inch of damage protection; double the thickness of traditional, single leg pallets.
With enhanced strength and rigidity engineered into the legs, the pallet offers superior resistance to potential damage caused by forklift and pallet jack impacts. Additionally, the pallet’s bottom deck is designed to prevent damage caused by pallet jack over-pumping.
“Most manufacturing companies have recently put a major emphasis on minimizing the risks of possible contamination that could originate from packaging,” notes Dan Kelly, President and CEO of Polymer Solutions International, Inc. “Whether that packaging is reusable wood or plastic pallets, or one-way disposable packaging, it is critical that manufacturers have a high degree of certainty that any packaging they use can be easily cleaned and—just as important—easily inspected for any pathogen that may be carried into or out of their plant.
The ProStack Solid Deck Pallet measures 40 x 48 x 6.3 inches and weighs 49 pounds. It is rated for a 30,000 pound static load, or a 5,000 pound dynamic load. Edge rackable to 2,200 pounds, they offer four-way fork entry and are ideal for use in general industry, pharmaceutical, food processing, beverage, and warehousing applications.
All ProStack pallets are made from 100% recyclable, FDA-approved high density polyethylene (HDPE). The pallets have a smooth finish that is easy to clean and inspect. The ProStack Solid Deck Pallet is available in several different materials, including Factory Mutual Research Corporation (FM) approved grades for fire retardant applications and with optional anti-microbial additives to enhance the products performance.
For further customization to individual application needs, the ProStack pallet may be ordered with the following options: perimeter lip, hot-stamped logo or identification marks, grommets, and in a variety of colors (black, blue, gray, and red).
