Injectable Drugs, Technology Advances to Grow Prefilled Syringes Market

New report notes prospects for companies in plastic prefilled syringes, pen injectors/autoinjectors, and glass prefilled syringes through 2026.

A new visiongain report shows that injectable drugs will help grow the prefilled syringe market between 2016 and 2026.
A new visiongain report shows that injectable drugs will help grow the prefilled syringe market between 2016 and 2026.

With biological therapy developments leading companies to seek more inert syringe materials, pharmaceutical firms demanding improved safety profiles for drugs, and less risk of breakage than their glass counterparts, plastic prefilled syringes are poised for growth during the next decade.

On the other side of the coin, plastic syringes are costlier than glass versions, with less global manufacturing capacity. Plastic syringes are also sensitive to scratching that can cause visual impairment of dosing.

Whether plastic or glass, once thing seems certain: Look for the continued growth of prefilled syringes.

Those findings come from a new visiongain report, “Pre-Filled Syringes Market Forecast 2016-2026.”

What can be expected from the prefilled syringes market? Which areas are going to grow at the fastest rates? This visiongain report shows potential revenues to 2026, assessing data, trends, opportunities and prospects within its 206-page report.

Overall revenue for the prefilled syringe market will reach $6,940m in 2020, the report forecasts. “We predict strong revenue growth through to 2026. A number of new injectable drugs and advances in technology are seen as factors driving growth over the forecast period,” says visiongain.
