Women go online for product info before they hit the stores...

According to iVillage/SheSpeaks, female shoppers who go online before going to the store are primarily looking for coupons and discounts. Online coupons are "especially influential" in their purchases of food, beauty and household goods. Emails from companies and reading other consumers reviews of products online are also strongly influential, according to the survey. Women also go online to find product information and descriptions, pricing and information about environmentally sustainable packaging. According to the research, "the environment plays a heavy role in today's market research and how women view brands. Seventy-five percent of women place heavy value on the importance of sustainable packaging, and 50 percent of women are out to encourage other women to purchase certain products based on how they affect the environment."
