Filvek (N. Springfield, VT) is introducing a patented technology for filling sterile liquids into vials, syringes and other containers used in the pharmaceutical industry.

It does away with pump modules that are difficult to sterilize reliably and replaces them with a disposable flexible film material through which sterile product is metered into containers. From a four-nozzle system, filling volumes of 0.5 to 100 mL can be done at 120 containers/min. An eight-nozzle system is twice as fast.
