Mitsubishi: PET film price hike

Mitsubishi Polyester Film, LLC (Greer, SC), a producer of polyester (PET) film, announced today a price increase of 10 cents per pound, effective immediately, for all grades of Mitsubishi PET film in its North, South, and Central American markets.

“The increase was a difficult decision, but a necessary one,” says Bill Radlein, vice president of sales and marketing at Mitsubishi Polyester Film.

“In spite of the significant increases in utilization and demand of PET film, pricing has remained at levels near historic lows. After careful consideration of market conditions and dynamics, we were compelled to adjust our current pricing structure."

Radlein added, "On a more positive note, we have increased our capital investments to support the growth of our customers and continue to pursue initiatives for improved customer service and product development.”
