A green bottled-beverage alternative

Concentrates seem to be a growing trend among sustainable-minded companies (see www.packworld.com/news-24270).

Not only do concentrates reduce the amount of packaging required for a product, but they can also greatly decrease the energy costs and carbon emissions associated with the transport of the diluted version.

“Most people get their noncarbonated beverages out of half-liter plastic bottles,” says Esio Beverage Co. president Lyle Myers. “The Esio-Pak provides consumers with the opportunity to have their noncarbonated beverages and reduce the amount of PET that is going into our landfills by 92 percent.”
