By configuring the unit to handle head-to-toe labels, the shorter side of the label (height) is fed to the tamp pad to maximize system speed, while the system applies the label to the case or carton in the correct orientation with the length of the label across the case. This configuration also improves ergonomics because the label roll is on the vertical plane and closer to the ground. System integrates a Zebra RFID printer and verification scanner, modified to automatically remove bad tags/labels prior to label application.
