Plastic Suppliers, Inc. has been awarded the US 7,615,183 B2 patent for “Polylactic Acid Blown Film and Method of Manufacturing,” branded as EarthFirst.

The receipt of this patent validates the viability of their blown manufacturing process and their bio-based family of EarthFirst products.

Plastic Suppliers has worked to develop the technology behind this patent to affect a positive change in the plastic ﬁlm industry with the use of environmentally friendly bio-based ﬁlms. The EarthFirst product produced using this patent is currently being used in the ﬂexible packaging, labeling, lamination and windowing markets.
