No 'and/or' for soft drinks

Soft drink manufacturers must ensure that the sweetening ingredients used in their products are correctly listed on labels, now that FDA has ruled that proposed “and/or” labeling is not warranted.

The agency said there was insufficient evidence to prove that listing specific sweeteners is impractical or would be anticompetitive, as soft drink makers argued. FDA urged manufacturers to review the ingredient listing on their labels.
