Govan will graduate in May with a Bachelor of Science degree in Packaging Science and an emphasis on Food and Health Care Packaging. She was drawn to this field as it combines elements of science, engineering, and design. She had the chance to co-op at Pepperidge Farm in Norwalk, CT, for seven months, where she developed her technical knowledge in a cross-functional team. She was also on the Women’s Club Soccer Team, a member of Chi Omega, and worked as a Biology Lab Assistant in her time at Clemson. Govan hopes to work as a Packaging Engineer in the food or medical industry.
Marsh is a senior Packaging Science major. In addition to her education on campus and in the classroom, she had the opportunity to spend a summer working as a Product Development Intern for Berry Global in Evansville, IN. She gained additional industry experience through her co-op rotation with the Packaging Solutions Department at 3M in Minneapolis, MN. At Clemson, she was part of the Cooperative Student Fellowship as well as belonging to the Clemson Miracle Dance Marathon Morale Group. After graduation, Marsh looks forward to moving to Asheville, NC, to start her career with Sonoco at their thermoforming plant in Waynesville, NC.
