Winning Awards at Clemson in 2019

From Clemson University comes news about two Fall 2019 awards. Mason Massey won the Robert Testin Outstanding Packaging Science Senior Award, while Josh Jones took home the Packaging World Outstanding Senior Award.

Robert Testin Outstanding Packaging Science Senior Award, Fall 2019

Mason Massey is a senior at Clemson University where he is pursuing his Bachelor of Science in Packaging Science with an emphasis on Packaging Design and Graphics. While in school, Mason completed an internship with VAULT Enclosures and a co-op with Package InSight. To date, he has created more than 200 various package prototypes, including his biggest project, a 9-foot tall Hexacomb Clemson tiger paw. Mason can often be found in the prototyping lab creating new packages or helping other students with their projects. He will graduate in December 2019 and aspires to work in an organization where he can design package structures with a variety of materials with a focus on efficient and environmentally stable packages. 


Packaging World Outstanding Senior Award

Josh Jones is also senior at Clemson University where he is pursuing his Bachelor of Science in Packaging Science with an emphasis in Distribution, Transportation, Engineering. He has performed research in a Creative Inquiry with Dr. Greg Batt and Clemson Football on wearable technology and currently works with their Clemson Applied Sciences Lab. He has served as the President of the Packaging Science Club in addition to pitching for Clemson’s Club Baseball Team for four years. He has completed three separate internships with Niagara Bottling in California, Conagra Brands in Nebraska, and Dow Chemical in Texas. Upon graduation in December 2019, Josh has accepted a role with Dow in Technical Services and Development with rigid plastics at their PackStudios in Freeport, TX.
