Pw 6989 Web Videojet

The Videojet® 1510 small-character continuous ink-jet printer from Videojet Technologies Inc. is the first in a new line of printers that permit maximum uptime. The Videojet 1510 is easy to operate through its intuitive user interface and a simplified fluid replacement system using microchip-enabled fluid bottles, Smart Cartridges™, that virtually eliminate fluid replacement mistakes. A unique printhead automatically sets up and adjusts to environment changes, resulting in consistently sharp print quality in even the most challenging environments.

Track-and-trace solution

It can also be used with Videojet's IMprints™ Track & Trace Solution that generates unique codes printed on product packaging by the company's data marking and coding equipment. Brand protection options include using serialized alphanumeric coding or 2D data-matrix codes. The solution is said to have no cost-per-code charges or upfront license fees.
At a press event held May 6th to unveil the technology, Videojet personnel indicated that customer applications using this track-and-trace technology had been implemented and others were forthcoming. A marketer of high-end shampoo and related salon products, Bumble and Bumble, is an early adopter of the IMprints technology.
