Baumer Electric: Hazardous media detection switch

Baumer's  FlexLevel Switch 4401 in various ATEX versions is designed for use in gaseous, dusty and other hazardous surroundings where safety levels need to be quickly and accurately detected.

ATEX certifications cover zones 0, 1 and 2 and  zones 20, 21 and 22. The FlexLevel Switch can be configured on a PC using FlexProgrammer 9701. The switch is suitable for process temperatures from -40°C to up to 200 °C.  All FlexLevel Switch versions are available with the following ATEX approvals: Ex ia for gas applications in zone 0, 1 or 2; Ex tD for dust applications in zone 20, 21 or 22; and Ex nA for gas applications in zone 2 without use of zener barrier protection. A bright blue light on top of the switch shows when a media is detected.
