The telecentric lens verifies that neck threads are completely formed,
inspects the sealing surface of the neck for planarity and detects
molding flash, while an overhead camera inspects for choked neck
opening and for ovality of the neck opening. The system’s body
inspection function checks bottle sidewalls and bottoms for flaws and
imperfections. Multiple cameras and CIVCore™ proprietary software
completes all inspection operations simultaneously, speeding bottles
through the inspection process. The system also changes over quickly
using a touchscreen to inspect new products.
