Pepperl+Fuchs has introduced the VAA-2E-G4-SE AS-Interface Safety at Work module, an IP67-rated AS-Interface safety module that features 2 inputs for connection of a non-contact Type 4 safety device according to EN 61496-1.

It powers safety light curtains via the flat, black AS-Interface cable and allows connection of standard PNP sensors for muting applications. Unit is compatible with all major industrial control networks, allowing users to select the optimum light curtain for their specific application needs, while still being able to interface it to their control network of choice.
