Series has an isolated I/O design with features such as electronic protection from voltage spikes and noise, signal quality improvement, common-mode voltage and noise improvement, and wide I/O ranges to allow direct connection to sensors and actuators. Isolation protection can withstand 2귔 VDC for both input and output signals.
