Saddle Creek Logistics Services today announced the promotion of Cliff Otto from president to CEO, effective immediately. Otto joined Saddle Creek in 2001 and became president in 2007. During his tenure, the company has increased its service offerings, expanded into new markets and industries, and experienced revenue growth year after year.
In the past few years, the company grew revenue more than 47 percent to be named, in August, one of Inc. Magazine's fastest-growing private companies in America. Smooth moves since 2010 alone include:
- 2010's expansion/acquisition of additional fulfillment services,
- 2011's investment in what's reportedly the industry's largest compressed natural gas fleet, and
- 2012 expansions and new locations including Seattle; Ontario, Calif.; Fort Worth, Texas; and Birmingham, Ala.
“We’ve made great strides as a company in the past few years by focusing on meeting – and exceeding – the expectations of our customers,” said Otto. David Lyons, chairman and founder, credits the companys "remarkable growth" to Otto's leadership, in which Saddle Creek "strategically expanded the scope of our business without losing sight of the core values that resonate with our customers and associates."
The company today operates more than 16 million square feet of space in 37 locations nationwide and provides services including warehousing, transportation, packaging, and fulfillment.
