This expansion will bring the total company space to 107,200 sq. ft. in 2 locations.  The original Sterling CPI location, at 139 Interstate Park, Spartanburg, SC, opened in October of 1996 with 30,000 sq. ft.  As demand for their services increased, the company expanded the original location with an additional 25,000 sq. ft. in August of 2003.  At that time, the 55,000 sq. ft. facility allowed Sterling CPI to properly service their contract packaging customers with a full-service outsourcing operation.

As demand for their services continued to increase, the company needed more space and opened their second location, at 101 Corporate Drive, in February of 2009.  The original 101 Corporate Drive facility consumed 31,000 sq. ft. and increased the total company space to 86,000 sq. ft.  With their importing and material management segments expanding, the 2nd location allowed Sterling CPI to add more customers and satisfy their outsourcing requirements.

As Sterling CPI continued to perform at a very high level, in terms of quality and on-time delivery, the demand for their expertise continued to grow.  In July of 2010, the company acquired an additional 9,200 sq. ft. at 101 Corporate Drive bringing the total company space to 95,200 sq. ft.  In February of 2012, the 4th expansion will consume an additional 12,000 sq. ft. and Sterling CPI will have grown from 30,000 sq. ft. in 1996 to 107,200 sq. ft. in 2012.  According to the company, Sterling CPI is commonly known as the most diverse outsourcing operation in the Southeast and their growth over the last 15 years is proof of their expertise as a full-service packaging company.
