2019 CPA Annual Meeting a huge success
On Feb. 20-22, 2019, more than 150 of the nation’s leading contract packagers and manufacturers gathered in Tampa, FL, for the CPA Annual Meeting. Attendees heard from two exceptional keynote speakers: Kirk Lippold, former Commander of the USS Cole, and Bill Bishop, Chief Architect, Brick Meets Click. In addition to more than a dozen dynamic sessions on global consolidation, food retailing, the state of the industry, and e-commerce, attendees had the opportunity to tour nine local member plants. The 2019 Annual Meeting provided deep insight into how relationships, regulatory compliance, technology, marketing, and education can all come together to positively impact a contract packaging business’s bottom line. Announcing CPA’s new and improved website
CPA is growing and evolving with the industry, and with these changes comes a new and improved website to support members’ businesses. Explore the new website, which has been redesigned to help visitors easily access CPA’s resources, such as the member directory and Request for Quote portal. CPA exhibits at two industry trade shows
- Natural Products Expo West: At the 2019 Natural Products Expo West, March 6-9 at the Anaheim Convention Center, Anaheim, CA, nearly 90,000 industry professionals met to discover the newest products and see the latest trends in health, beauty, organic and natural, and specialty foods. The CPA booth offered brand owners, retailers, and entrepreneurs interested in contract packaging and manufacturing services more information on CPA members’ capabilities and how to engage these service providers.
- ProFood Tech: CPA also exhibited at ProFood Tech, March 26-28, at McCormick Place, Chicago, the only event in North America focused exclusively on all food and beverage sectors. There were 7,000 processing professionals featured and 400 of the world’s top suppliers with booths covering 125,000 net square feet of exhibit floor space, ProFood Tech was powered by three of the world’s trade show leaders – PACK EXPO, Koelnmesse (organizer of Anuga), and the International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA).

Online Request for Quote is an invaluable tool
Are you taking advantage of CPA’s Request for Quote tool? This popular online tool allows anyone needing a contract packager the opportunity to request information about a CPA member company’s services, including packaging capabilities and service costs. Submissions will be sent to member companies accepting RFQs. Member companies will examine your needs and will contact you directly about their packaging services and capabilities.
