As an example, DePaul Industries (www.depaulindustries.com) says it has more than doubled packaging services for Oregon-based Harry & David for the 2006 holiday season. Harry & David, Medford, OR, is one of the nation's largest direct marketing and e-commerce companies. It uses DePaul's co-packing services to produce holiday Christmas tree and Amaryllis bulb holiday gift packages.

For the 2006 holiday season, DePaul Industries is increasing holiday tree-packing services for Harry & David from 60,000 to 120,000 trees, while also packaging 60,000 amaryllis bulbs.

In addition, Harry & David has approved DePaul Industries to co-pack the company's food product lines.

DePaul Industries is emerging as one of the largest food co-packers between British Columbia, Canada, and San Francisco. To meet the growing demands of the region's food-processing and packaged goods industries, the company in 2005 launched an expansion of its 30,000-sq-ft facility in Portland. The expansion doubles DePaul Industries' clean-room capacity and adds form-fill, sealing, and product-blending capabilities.
