Vice President of Package Design at Estee Lauder, John Delfausse, said the green package is made of a glass bottle and metal sleeve that can be separated and sorted for recycling. Delfausses went on to say that take-back programs for some packaging are effective ways for cosmetic companies to go green, as some sustainable packaging isn't suitable for cosmetics.
