UK's Co-operative Group grocery chain launches 100% rPET...

Following the launch of British retailer Co-operative's Food Ethical Policy earlier this year, the company has become the first retailer to use 100% rPET plastic bottles for its entire brand of carbonated drinks and mixers.

rPET bottles are made from recycled PET and are completely recyclable. Last year, the retailer launched "the world's lightest whiskey bottle" and the "naked cucumber"—a cucumber with no plastic wrapper. The Co-operative was voted "the greenest grocer" and "most ethical brand" in the UK earlier this year.
