Facial wipes in 'green' packs

Emerging organic skincare company Ecocare says it has launched eco-friendly facial wipes in eco-friendly packaging.

The facial wipes are made from 100% natural certified organic cotton. The packaging incorporates renewable and recyclable Biohybrid™ resin from Cardia Bioplastics Ltd. The resin is derived from renewable resources. The resulting “green” combination has a significantly lower carbon footprint than its competitors, says Cardia Bioplastics.

“Our thermoplastic starch resins have a high renewable content – when they are incorporated into standard packaging or plastic products, the carbon footprint is reduced by up to 50 per cent,” says Frank Glatz, managing director of Cardia Bioplastics. “ECOCARE™ has built its business on environment-friendly products, and we are proud to partner with them to develop packaging solutions that align with this philosophy.”

Cardia’s Biohybrid™ resins combine renewable thermoplastics with oil-based polymer material to reduce dependence on finite oil resources and to reduce carbon footprint. The renewable material is derived from non-genetically modified corn crop grown for industrial use. Furthermore, the resins are compatible with current plastic recycling processes, are food safe compliant, and have official Halal Certification.
