BlueWater Automation Group: Fully-automatic case former

The F-16’s small footprint (approx. 4-ft. x 6-ft.) and throughput rate of up to 16ppm has been designed for food plants where space is a premium and washdown procedures are a requirement.

The F-16 uses Festo’s MPA-C valve terminal to provide automation platform that is reliable in performance, meets high hygienic standards, and is flexible in its configuration.  The terminal is extremely easy to clean and is highly-resistant to corrosion and cleaning agents. It meets the requirements for protection class IP69K, incorporating FDA compliant materials including NSF-H1 grease and is available with fully functional manual over-rides.

The terminal can be expanded to up to 32 valves - one at a time. The MPA-C also has the ability to communicate to many different protocols, simplifying the controls architecture.
