Thiele-Frontier's process uses a combination of servo and mechanical drives to achieve progressive downstacking. Chubs move to the load station from multiple infeeds. At the load station, a separate mechanical system stacks and collates chubs in multiple tiers.
Chub case packing
Thiele-Frontier Products (Minneapolis, MN) has introduced a patented technology for case packing of chub packages. Because chub packages are typically soft and inconsistently shaped, they've had to be hand loaded.
