At BrauBeviale 2015, Gebo Cermex and BA Systèmes signed a global strategic agreement to better serve their customers. This strategic agreement foresees a new intralogistics proposal combining Gebo Cermex’s and BA Systèmes’ expertise. With this exclusive partnership, BA Systèmes and Gebo Cermex will be able to offer worldwide global intralogistics solutions with local support to their customers.

This new value proposition will reinforce Gebo Cermex’s ability to provide complete material handling solutions from packaging and consumables to warehouse management of finished products. This partnership will also accelerate BA Systèmes’ progression on a fast-growing market by anchoring BA Systèmes’ position in Europe and developing the company’s position worldwide. The demand for intralogistics solutions will grow substantially in the coming years, answering the industry’s increased intention to optimise both manufacturing and logistics processes.

To answer this market expectation, BA Systèmes and Gebo Cermex are combining their experience to offer new global intralogistics solutions to their customers through an exclusive global strategic agreement signed at the BrauBeviale 2015 trade show.

Through this global partnership, Gebo Cermex will propose AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles systems) at a worldwide level to its Beverage and FHPC customers worldwide as part of its equipment range. The AGVs will be manufactured by BA Systèmes and carry Gebo Cermex’s brand identity.

Gebo Cermex has developed recognized know-how in line engineering and design and manufacturing of equipment. Gebo Cermex brings its customers innovative, value-added solutions based on the enhancement of packaging line performance by optimising operating expenses and operator workstation ergonomics.

“Signing this agreement, BA Systèmes becomes our strategic partner for intralogistics solutions,” says Marc Aury, President and Managing Director of Gebo Cermex. “It is a fantastic opportunity to bolster our product range and satisfy customers who have shown their trust in Gebo Cermex’s expertise in end-of-line solutions over the past 50 years. This agreement with BA Systèmes will enable our customers to optimise their operating expenses (‘OPEX’) as well as their operational excellence, while improving their health and safety at work environment, right through to the last link in their value chain. This is a very good illustration of Gebo Cermex’s determination to make its customers ‘first in line.’”

BA Systèmes is a European leader on the AGV market and supplies innovative global industrial flow management systems. Over 250 sites in Europe are equipped with BA Systèmes solutions, thereby improving the productivity, flexibility, and reliability of their product flows.

“We have been working together successfully in Europe for several years,” says Jean-Luc Thomé, Chairman of BA Systèmes. “Our teams’ know-how is complementary and our corporate cultures—all to do with customer service and innovation—compatible. This strategic agreement is a new stage in our collaboration and really represents a dual opportunity: on the one hand, ensuring our customers have access to this additional know-how over time and worldwide, and also increasing still further the synergy and performance of our joint product offerings.”
