The F160 machine vision sensor combines dual cameras and high-speed processing to deliver 4 times the speed of competitive systems, and from 2 to 10 times faster image processing, Omron Electronics (Schaumburg, IL) claims.

It enables inspection speeds to 5ꯠ/min in a system priced at low-end vision costs and with OCR capability. It uses Quest Optical Character Recognition algorithm that doesn’t require character registration. Quest also adapts to fluctuations in character shape and size.
