Packaging demand to grow

Demand for “high visibility” packaging such as carded blister packs and clamshells is forecast to expand by nearly 6% yearly to $7.8 billion in 2006, reaching beyond 23.5 billion units.

That’s according to Blister & Other High Visibility Packaging, a study available for $3꺜 by The Freedonia Group, a Cleveland-based industrial market research firm. Separately, Corrugated & Paperboard Boxes is another new Freedonia study available for $3길. It projects corrugated and paperboard box sales to climb 2% annually to $36.7 billion through 2005.
