Clarification

In our story "Quaker makes waves in cereal market" (see PW, June '98, p. 41), we reported that the contract packer used a Laudenberg machine to make, fill and seal Quaker Oats' 100% Natural Granola cereal in stand-up, resealable pouches.

The Quaker cereal actually is packaged on RPM-L horizontal form/fill/seal machinery from Klckner-Bartelt (Sarasota, FL). Two filled and sealed pouches are then heat-sealed along the top on a Duo Pac(TM) machine from Laudenberg, as reported.
