Nemicon: Ultra-small rotary encoders

At just 7.2mm (0.28346”) in diameter, and based on Nemicon’s successful line of 18mm (0.70866”) and 12mm (0.47244”) diameter miniature encoders, the 7S Series shaft type encoder features high resolution, high noise immunity and high reliability.

The body height of the 7S is 10.5mm (0.41338”). It offers 3 signal A, B and Z (index signal), and three options for resolution from 100 to 400 pulses per rotation. Output type is open collector with a maximum current consumption of 30mA. Maximum operating frequency is 100kHz, starting torque is 3gf・cm or less, and the 7S comes equipped with a 50 cm cable. The operating temperature range is -10 ℃ - +80 ℃, and the 7S Series is rated at IP50 environmental resistance, suitable for industrial machinery applications. The 7S Series is compatible with all standard interfaces and CE certified.

Space-saving and designed to aid in the miniaturization of equipment, the 7S Series is ideal for use in a wide variety of applications where space is limited.
