Ross Controls: Energy isolation valve for harsh environments

The Stainless Steel L-O-X® energy isolation valve from Ross is cast out of corrosion-resistant 316 stainless steel that resists salt-water and chemical degradation, and is also equipped with durable fluorocarbon seals, important in systems requiring consistent protection against contaminant ingression like pharmaceutical and food/beverage processing.

Because the valve is self-draining, it is also suitable for washdown applications found in the dairy and beverage industries. In fact, the company offers a Stainless Steel L-O-X® washdown cabinet for that purpose which incorporates the Stainless Steel L-O-X® valve, a filter/regulator and a Category 2, 3 or 4 double valve for air entry control into one convenient unit.

The Stainless Steel L-O-X® features an easy-to-identify shape, a tamper-proof locking mechanism (lockable only in OFF position), a large exhaust port for rapid pressure relief, and a simple push/pull handle for easy operation. The valve also provides a pressure sensing port that permits the optional installation of a corrosion resistant pop-up indicator or pressure switch for verifying that downstream air pressure has been released. These devices assist in meeting OSHA, ANSI and CSA verification requirements. Available in port sizes from ¼ to 2-in., the Stainless Steel L-O-X® offers many options.
