Images are designed using labeling software and downloaded to a thermal printer, which burns the print image into a polyester stencil. The stencil is semi-automatically loaded on the Scribe print cylinder of the rotary screen print system.
The printer is engineered for printing on the rough and irregular surface of corrugated cases. It requires no cleaning, start-up or shutdown procedures. It works equally well on roller and belt conveyors. Scribe pigmented ink dries immediately and will not fade or smear when exposed to sunlight or moisture.
The Scribe is simple in design, rugged in construction, and reliable. With a 6-in tall print window and an average operating cost of $4.00 per 1,000 prints, this printer makes full case printing and generic case programs affordable.
