USDA voluntary allergen-labeling guidelines
The U.S. Department of Agricultures’s Food Safety and Information Service will consider any nonmisleading symbols, statements, or logos that meat and poultry packages might want to use to inform consumers of the presence of potential food allergens in meat, poultry, and eggs.

Some 73% of Oregon voters in the November election rejected mandatory labeling for all biotech foods. Ballot Measure 27 would have required any food or beverage produced with genetically modified material to be labeled as such, whether or not the material is in the final product.
