Chewing gum multipack lines turn over a new leaf

RBV Leaf BV, Europe’s second largest producer of sugar confectionery, has brought the packaging of its popular Sportlife chewing gum in-house, with two new, flexible, multipack packaging lines from SIG Pack Systems.

Hassia (Morganville, NJ) has developed the SAS 20/30 for aseptic operation to form, fill, and seal pouches made of flexible materials. Machine is primarily intended for use in the convenience food and dairy product market, and it’s said to be the first multilane machine to package low-acid food products aseptically.
