SCA Packaging North America is now Tegrant Corporation

Tegrant Corporation, formerly SCA Packaging North America, has completed its sale to Metalmark Capital.

The result is the formation of a new company that will consist of four business units focusing on Consumer Packaging, Protective Packaging and Component Parts, Building Products, and ThermoSafe brands.

"I am happy to report that the sale of the SCA Packaging North America business to Metalmark Capital was completed today," says Ron Leach, president and CEO of Tegrant Corporation. "This transaction completes the sale that was first announced on Jan. 23rd. Tegrant is a name that is meant to strongly suggest integrity, both of the packaging and components we manufacture as well as the integrity of the people that produce them. These are indeed exciting times for the business, as we meet the challenges of 2007, and move forward with a new owner that is committed to financially supporting the exciting growth prospects for the new company," he says.

Tegrant's management team will stay in place and is committed to continuing to grow the business into a world class corporation that continuously delights its customers.
