U.K. dairy company First Milk has launched its Lake District Dairy Co. brand Cooking Sauces in recyclable, thin-wall thermoformed packaging from Coveris Rigid UK. The three-variety line, in Tomato & Basil, Garlic & Herb, and Tikka, is a new product based on quark, a soft, spoonable cheese that is naturally low in fat, high in protein, high in calcium, and low in salt and sugars.
Meeting First Milk’s requirements, the container is decorated with an in-mold label (IML) that cannot be removed, peeled away, or damaged by the sauce itself, and is 100%r recyclable.
Coveris says First Milk recognized the versatility of the thin-wall containers and considered the packaging for its new product line. First Milk Marketing Director David Young says, “Coveris was a pleasure to work with, and their support throughout the product’s development ensured that our needs and deadlines were met. Achieving the best shelf appeal possible is crucial to retail sales, and we are delighted with the outcome.”
